Nick DeFord is a native Knoxvillian, recently back from the deserts of Phoenix. He earned his BFA in drawing from the University of Tennessee, and MFA in fibers from Arizona State University. Nick has exhibited his work nationally, most recently participating in the Arizona Biennial at the Tucson Museum of Art a solo exhibition at Whittier College in Whittier, California. In the fall of 2010 his exhibition Bearings will be on display at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, Tennessee. Currently, he teaches drawing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
