![]() ![]() | Designthinking is a concept that we have developed together as an effort to focus attention upon the object of art rather than the artist, and the idea behind the object rather than the thing itself. It is within this spirit that we call ourselves by this name rather than our own, for this has become our signature and our real artistic identity. It is our contention that the ideas behind these objects are more important than their rendering. We conceptualize, design and render these objects through collaboration and debate. Just like the popular culture that has inspired them, much that you see may seem raw or even unfinished. As the words imply, this is by design in an effort to get us all thinking. Nearly everything that you see today would have been sent to a landfill, but instead it has been transformed into something we hope you can’t help but look at. Hopefully, when you walk away, it will be with altered perception and perspective -- the sum of which is greater than any object or person. Art, after all, is a way of living in the world, not merely something to be hung upon the wall. Perhaps these objects can help to bridge the gap between the ideal and real -- a new world Rosetta Stone of sorts to help inform our own reflective self-construction. Than again, it may just be a pretty picture. What does the world really look like from thirty-thousand feet, and of what is our world made? We’ve tried to put these two ideas together in this exhibit. All that remains is to see what you can add. . .or for that matter, take away.
