The natural beauty of East Tennessee is evident in its landscapes and architecture as well as in its talented people. The Arts in the Airport program offers visitors to McGhee Tyson Airport a glimpse at the vision and creativity of area artists through a sampling of their work. This exhibit is a reflection of our region's heritage, culture and diversity.

Through a partnership with the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville, the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority commissioned this six-month exhibit that will be on display past the security checkpoint until mid October 2011.  Chosen through a juried search, 47 pieces of photography, water color, pastelles, woodworking, pottery and oil mediums were selected out of over 500 art submissions.  To learn more about the artwork on display, purchase a piece or find more works from the artists in the exhibit, contact the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville at (865) 523-7543 or www.knoxalliance.com.
